When Diversity Connects: Living Faith at Deutsche Telekom

At Deutsche Telekom, it’s about more than technology. It’s about people. About creating connections that move us forward – together.

Our colleagues are as diverse as the world we live in. And that’s what makes us strong. A great example of this are our faith communities: they show how belief, respect, and collaboration go hand in hand – and how each of us brings a little more connection to everyday work.

A Space That Connects – the Silent Room

Right in the middle of our Bonn campus is a very special place: the Silent Room. Here, prayer rugs, Bibles, and soon Jewish texts offer a space for mindfulness and dialogue. What this room stands for is what our communities live every day: openness, mutual understanding, and the freedom to bring your whole self to work.

Christians@Telekom – Strength in Community

Andrea Baare, a theologian and sales manager, puts it simply: “I don’t want to come to work in the morning and leave part of my personality in the car.” With Christians@Telekom, she helps colleagues connect, support each other, and live their faith at work – whether through devotions, Advent services, or simply being there in times of grief.

Salam@Telekom – Diversity as Strength

“What unites us is stronger than what divides us.” Amro Moussa, spokesperson for Salam@Telekom, captures the spirit of this community perfectly. This network brings together Muslim colleagues from over ten nationalities. They celebrate Iftar together, raise awareness of religious traditions, and organize charity initiatives – building bridges across the company.

Shalom@Telekom – A Sign of Respect

New since 2024: Shalom@Telekom. Yaroslav Chepurniak and Daniel Friedmann created a space where Jewish colleagues can share their identity and traditions. Through events, dialogue, and education, they work to increase understanding and foster an inclusive culture.

Building Bridges Together

Christian, Muslim, Jewish, or none of the above – what matters here is that we talk to each other. That we share stories, learn from each other, and create meaningful connections.
