Why everyone is suddenly filming in the office
If you have walked through our office recently, you may have noticed it too: smartphones are out more often, short videos are being filmed and spontaneous photos are being taken. Behind the scenes are our dual students and interns, who bring fresh ideas, creativity and a strong sense of what makes social media content feel authentic.

If you have walked through our office recently, you have probably noticed it: smartphones are being taken out, short scenes are being filmed and new ideas are being collected. No, we are not shooting a movie. Welcome to our everyday work life.
Social media as part of everyday work
Social media is no longer just a nice extra. It is a way to show our company as it really is: authentic, creative and approachable. This is exactly where our young talents come in.
As a dual student, I regularly support our social media team during shoots and content planning. Our interns also contribute many creative ideas to the content on our channels. Together, we create authentic insights into our daily work. Sometimes someone is in front of the camera, sometimes behind it, and sometimes a spontaneous idea turns into the next post.
Why Generation Z brings a fresh perspective
Why does this work so well? Many members of Generation Z have grown up with social media. Reels, trends and storytelling are part of everyday life for many of us. This often makes it easier to understand which content catches attention, which trends are relevant and how companies can reach their communities in an authentic way. At the same time, we benefit from the knowledge and experience of our colleagues. This combination is what makes our content strong.
From spontaneous ideas to real content
What later appears on Instagram or LinkedIn as just a few seconds of content often starts with brainstorming, several camera settings and a lot of teamwork. Not every shoot works perfectly right away. Sometimes we laugh, improvise or change plans spontaneously. And every now and then, our cast even gets some four-legged support. Our animal extras regularly create special moments and almost steal the show.
So the next time you see someone walking through the office with a smartphone, they are probably working on the next social media post. Whether through an internship, a dual study program or vocational training, young talents actively help shape the future of Telekom and show that fresh perspectives can make a real difference.
