To all the women: thank you for your strength, your passion, and the impact you create every day.

International Women’s Day is a global reminder that equal opportunity, equal voice, and equal respect are not aspirations, but expectations. At Telekom Strategy Consulting, Deutsche Telekom’s in-house consulting unit, we are committed to fostering an environment where everyone can contribute and grow based on competence, performance, and character.

At Telekom Strategy Consulting (TSC), we support Deutsche Telekom’s top management with strategy development, digital transformation, and end-to-end implementation. Our work combines strategic thinking with execution, driven by diverse perspectives, trust, and a strong performance culture to create sustainable impact.

This commitment becomes tangible through the voices of our colleagues and through initiatives that actively shape our culture, like our Women@TSC Initiative.

Women@TSC: Creating space for dialogue and inclusion

For Laura Hellweg, Partner People Strategy & Organization Practice, Women@TSC is both a platform and a responsibility:

“Women@TSC is a safe space for women to talk openly about gender-related topics, get support, and share inspiration. At the same time, we want to think and act in an inclusive way, creating more transparency so that TSC is a place where diversity is truly lived every day.”

Her perspective reflects the core idea behind the initiative: creating an environment where open dialogue is possible, experiences are shared, and transparency fosters trust.

Women@TSC connects colleagues across practices and seniority levels and provides formats that support both personal growth and cultural development.

Through interactive workshops, regular networking events, a lunch with female TSC alumni, and even a self-defense workshop, the initiative brings exchange and empowerment into everyday practice. It is not about creating separation, but about strengthening inclusion and visibility and about making equality a lived reality within TSC.

Diversity as a performance driver

Annika Schmuck, Project Manager at TSC, highlights another important dimension:

“Consulting is still often a male-dominated environment. At TSC, we actively work toward a balanced representation across all genders, because diversity isn’t just fair, it’s a performance driver. Studies show that companies with 30% or more women in leadership are more likely to outperform and achieve higher employee satisfaction. Women in consulting bring fresh perspectives and ideas, and that makes us stronger.”

In an in-house consulting environment like TSC, where clarity, structure, and influence are central to our work, diverse perspectives directly contribute to better decision-making and stronger outcomes. Diversity is not a symbolic objective; it is a strategic advantage.

Looking Ahead

International Women’s Day invites reflection, but inclusion requires continuous action.

With our upcoming Women@TSC Kickoff, we will continue building on this momentum: strengthening our network, encouraging open exchange, and shaping what Women@TSC stands for in the future.

At Telekom Strategy Consulting, we celebrate the women in our organization and beyond. Not as a separate group, but as an essential and equal part of our collective success.
